My new friends at Zona BIkes in Santiago went above and beyond to make certain that Tiggrr was ready to go again. I have a fresh new set of beefy tires. German made Heidenau K60 Scouts which are known for their durability. They replaced both my front and rear brake pads, changed out my brake fluid, replaced my air cleaner and topped off my radiator with coolant. Most importantly, they gave the bike a thorough wash and safety check. Tiggrr hasn't been this shiny since I rolled out of my garage in October.

It was really fun to hang out in the Zona's garage. Throughout the afternoon, several local bikers stopped by to look at my bike and to swap stories. They were very interested in my travels but mostly we all share a love of adventure, the road and for these two wheeled machines.

I'm happy that the bike has been received such excellent care but personally, I am ready to go. Over the last few days I have spent a little too much time pondering possible routes which generally I don't do. I find that plans are only good for about a day or two anyway. Everything changes. The weather, the road, the terrain and. well... my attitude. That said... I've decided (for what it is worth) to take a zig zag approach to the next segment. I'm going to head to Argentina tomorrow and spent two or three days riding south on that side of the Andes. Then I'm going to cross back into Chile to ride what is called "the lake" region, finally crossing back into Argentina in Patagonia.

But don't hold me to that.
